This week's matches · Landscaping · Greater Victoria
Mowing, edging, litter pick-up and seasonal bed work at four neighbourhood parks, April to October, for three years with two optional renewals.
Watch for: mandatory site visit, $5M liability insurance, WorkSafeBC clearance
Closes in 12 daysPublic work is out there. It's just scattered.
Island buyers post on CanadaBuys, BC Bid, several Bonfire and bids&tenders portals and their own websites.
The scope of work is buried in pages of terms, schedules and forms you have to download to read.
Snow, janitorial and grounds contracts come up once every few years. Miss the window and you wait for the next one.
How it works
- 1 Tell us your trades and area
Pick what you do and where you work. It takes a minute and there is no password to remember.
- 2 We read every tender site
Each day we pull new notices from federal, provincial, municipal, school, health and utility buyers, and drop the noise.
- 3 You get the ones that fit
A weekly email with only your matches, each explained in plain language: what the job is, where, when it closes and what to watch for.
What you get
Forty pages of procurement language becomes three sentences on what the buyer actually wants done.
Every notice is sorted by trade and Island area, so a roofer never wades through IT tenders.
Mandatory site visits, security clearance, bonding and insurance minimums are pulled out before you read further.
Multi-year maintenance contracts are flagged, because those are the ones that build a business.
The same tender posted on two portals shows up once. Amendments update the original.
Save the ones worth a look, mark the ones you are bidding on and hide the rest.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Weekly alerts, the dashboard and full bid details are free while we are in early access. If we add a paid plan later, early-access members will hear about it first, well before anything changes.
Where do the contracts come from?
Today: CanadaBuys and the websites and feeds of public buyers such as Saanich. We are adding BC Bid, Bonfire and bids&tenders next, which cover most municipalities, school districts and Island Health. See the Where we look page for the current list.
Do you bid for me?
No. We find and explain opportunities. You read the official documents and submit your bid directly to the buyer, the same way you do now.
How are summaries written?
Keyword rules sort every notice, then an AI model reads the ones that look relevant and writes a short summary and list of requirements. Summaries can miss things, so always check the official posting before you bid.
